"I am always nervous about going to see a mechanic, because I do not know the first thing about cars and I am sure it shows. A friend of mine recommended that I go to Excell. He said they are honest and offer fair prices. He was right. I have been to them twice now. The first time, I had to get my transmission rebuilt - the consensus of more than one shop (second opinions are a must). Excell offered the best deal and did a great job. The second time I went to see them, a few years later, I heard the telltale noise of transmission trouble (or so I thought). It turned out only to be the plate in front of the catalytic converter. Excell removed the plate and checked my fluids. They said there was nothing wrong, and they didn't charge a cent. I cannot tell you how relieved I was. It wasn't long ago that I was almost swindled from another shop in Calgary. I strongly recommend Excell Transmission in Red Deer. They are great guys, they offer great service, and they are honest."

"I took a 2008 dodge to Excell last year that needed a trans. and just took a 2012 dodge this month that needed a clutch do to both trucks having increased horse power and mechanical failures. They where fast at getting it back out the door to me, right on or slightly under the quote they gave for the repair, and the inside of the truck was still clean since you will notice lots of mechanics will get in and move your vehicle around with there coveralls on. My seats where clean! Have not had to go back with the trucks. There hasn't been an issue with the work they do there. And they will show you your old parts without having to ask and explain what had happened with it."

"I have been to the Shop with my 2003 Jimmy SLS. My front wheel was making an awful screeching sound. I had been to other garages and they took all 4 wheels out and it persisted until I saw Peter. All I did was explain to him what was happening and he took care of it in less than 15 minutes! Turns out my backing plate was bent! On top of it he did what most mechanics never would; he gave me tricks on how not to get screwed as it is not my domain! Showed me what he was doing and what the tools were for. I’ve never been treated with such respect at a mechanical shop. Plus the man carries such great energy and care! The place is clean and inviting. The best part is, his work Lasts!
